The special brushless motor for model aircraft adopts the latest sensorless design. It has excellent performance such as fast starting speed, good mechanical and regulation characteristics, wide regulation range, high reliability, low noise and no commutation spark radio interference. Adopting high performance permanent magnet and large power density design, the efficiency is not less than 80%.

Under the same output power, brushless motor is smaller and lighter than the traditional brushed DC motor. When a brushless motor works, there is no spark interference or brush wear problem like carbon brush motors. Therefore, brushless motors are more conducive to remote control, have a long service life, and are essentially maintenance-free.

The inner rotor structure and outer rotor structure coexist, and the outer rotor structure has a good development prospect.

For model aircraft, the weight of the motor also determines an important criterion of the aircraft parameters. The inner rotor has a small stator hole, which makes it difficult to place the coils manually. Since the internal rotation is airtight, the heat dissipation is relatively poor compared to the external rotation. Currently, the general winding of the outer rotor motor is an enameled wire which is waterproof.

The brushless motors currently used in model airplanes usually use KV as the technical parameter. kV means that the idling speed of the brushless motor increases every time the operating voltage of the motor increases by 1 volt. When the number of winding turns is high, the KV value is low, and the maximum output current is small, but the torque is large. If the number of winding turns is small, the KV value is high, the maximum output current is high, but the torque is small. Most of the current model aircraft motors use external rotor brushless motors in order to obtain greater direct-drive propeller performance.
