When repairing motor equipment, it is necessary to remove the rotor from the motor, which is easier for small motors and may require some effort for large motors. To ensure that the motor equipment can be used properly, it is important to remove the motor rotor properly.

If the motor equipment is relatively small, it can be taken out directly, in this process, need to pay attention to avoid scratching the core and winding device if it is a rotor fan motor, the rotor can be taken out from the side of the fan; if it is a motor with ring or commutator, the rotor can be taken out from the side of the slip ring and commutator, be careful when taking.

When the motor equipment is relatively large, its rotor equipment will usually be heavy. In this case, the rotor can be taken out with a crane. When taking the rotor of the motor, you can use the wire rope of the crane to suspend the shaft, and then slowly move the center of gravity of the rotor to the outside of the stator. After removal, place it on a support pad with insulating cardboard and then tie it to the rotor’s center of gravity with crane wire rope, and then you can remove the rotor unit. If the shaft is relatively short and it is not possible to move the rotor’s center of gravity out of the stator, an additional steel tube of appropriate length can be added to the shaft.

Note that great care must be taken during the removal of the rotor unit so as not to scratch the stator windings. If necessary, an insulating plate can be placed at the end of the coil for protection.
