1, in normal operation, the causes of motor overheating are: high or low voltage, overload, insufficient cooling airflow, motor failure.
2, caused by high or low supply voltage winding motor overheating rarely occurs, can be run through the changes in current and motor protection devices to check the motor itself to determine the motor overheating caused by motor failure. The most common cause of motor overheating is caused by insufficient cooling air flow. The cooling air of the wire-wound motor is generated by the fan mounted on the motor shaft with the rotation of the motor, and is blown to the motor winding through the air duct on the top of the motor casing, thus achieving the purpose of cooling the motor. As the slag powder production site is relatively dusty, it is easy to cause air duct blockage after years of operation. Therefore, the ventilation duct of the winding machine should be flushed and cleaned regularly.
3、Collector ring burnout and brush sparking
The main difference between the winding machine and squirrel cage motor is that the three end wires of the rotor winding of the winding machine are connected to three copper or steel slip rings mounted on the rotor shaft and connected externally through the brush circuit. This unique construction of the coil winder results in susceptibility to collector ring burnout and brush sparking. Generally speaking, the reasons for this situation are: poor grinding of brushes and collector rings, brushes not fully contacting the surface of the collector ring, poor fit of brushes and brush box (too loose or too tight) ), improper brush pressure, unreasonable number of brushes, oval collector rings, etc.
If the contact area between brushes and collector ring surface is less than 70%, brushes with better contact surface will flow more current and generate more heat, which will easily burn the brush braiding layer. Further increase the load of other brushes, and in serious cases, it will burn the phase-regulating brushes and damage the slip ring. Therefore, in the daily maintenance of the winding machine, special attention should be paid to whether the contact area between the brushes and the collector ring is intact. When the production batch of the brushes used is different, the brushes and the collector ring are easily damaged due to the different composition ratio of the brushes. Therefore, the same production lot should be used as much as possible when replacing brushes.
In addition, when the brushes and the brush box are too loose, it is easy to cause the brushes to jump in the brush box and produce sparks; when they are too tight, the brushes move too little in the brush box and are easy to get stuck and cause the collector ring to overheat. Damage. When the pressure of the brush is small, the brush is easy to jump and produce sparks; when the pressure is too high, the friction between the brush and the collector ring increases, and it is easy to overheat, resulting in damage to the collector ring.
