Some friends often ask the question, “Why can the motor rotate? Why can only forward rotation but not reverse rotation? In fact, it is a very simple question
The motor consists of a stator and a rotor. The rotating magnetic field drives the rotor to rotate, one generates the rotating magnetic field, the other generates the magnetic poles, and the motor rotates.
The rotation principle of DC motor: DC motor magnetic field does not move, the conductor moves in the magnetic field; AC motor magnetic field rotates, but the conductor does not move, DC motor is divided into stator winding and rotor winding, the stator winding produces the magnetic field. When DC current is applied, the stator winding produces a magnetic field of fixed polarity and when DC current is applied, the rotor is stressed in the magnetic field, so the rotor rotates under the force of the magnetic field.
The reasons why the motor can only rotate in forward direction but not in reverse.
1. The reverse switch of the motor will change the phase sequence of the power supply, which will change the direction of the rotating magnetic field and make the motor reversing. If the melt of one phase of the motor that is running melts, the motor will become a single-phase motor. At this time, even if the phase sequence of power supply is changed, the direction of rotating magnetic field will remain the same, so the motor cannot be reversed.
2. Reversing will cause some damage to the motor, mainly to the power supply and to the coil bearing.
These are the reasons why the motor rotates and can only be turned forward but not backward, especially for motor maintenance friends, these basics must be mastered, so as to better use the motor.
