After normal shutdown in the production process, start again, generally will not appear due to wiring errors caused by the motor can not start normally, but for the newly installed or overhauled re-wired wire-wound motor is often prone to wiring errors. The wiring error referred to here mainly refers to the wiring error between the motor side current transformer with differential protection function and the distribution cabinet.

 

If this happens in the actual wiring process of the magnetic ring winding machine, it will trip the motor when it starts because the protection device reports a differential fault. Therefore, when wiring the transformer on the motor side and the transformer on the distribution cabinet side, special attention should be paid to the current detected by the two transformers installed in different locations for the same phase of the motor winding before the same phase is connected to the motor protection device as differential protection.

There are three causes of overcurrent protection as follows.

(1) The protection device overcurrent protection value is set unreasonably.

(2) The load is too large or there is a mechanical connection failure.

(3) Stranding machine winding type motor itself or the existence of the starting device failure.
