How to deal with a short circuit in a bobbin winder

A bobbin winder circuit breaker is one of the common failures of bobbin winders. When a circuit breaker is found in a bobbin winder, it needs to be stopped immediately and then serviced.

First, let’s look at what a bobbin winder circuit breaker is and what it does. When a wire break fault is found on a bobbin winder, it is called a bobbin winder break, which is the internal phase of the motor. When a winder breaks, the motor will experience a number of faults. If it is light, there will be difficulty in turning on the machine, three-phase current imbalance, abnormal vibration, serious temperature rise beyond the controllable range, smoke and burn out of the winding machine.

(1). Causes

The main reasons for the breakage of the winding machine are: the line is ripped off during maintenance; manufacturing process problems; poor welding of the wire ends of the winding machine components, overheating. The winding machine is damaged by external force;The winding machine is short-circuited and grounded, resulting in incineration.

(2). Detection methods

1. Observation method. The location of the break point is usually at the end of the winder, and the ends of the winder can be found by visual inspection.

2. multimeter or percentage meter detection method. Separate the first and last ends of each phase of the winder, and one of the infinite phases is the broken phase.

3. Electrification detection method. Do not measure the three-phase current with a clamp-on ammeter during normal operation of the motor; if the three-phase current is unbalanced and a short-circuit fault can be eliminated, there is a circuit breaker for the small-current winding machine.

(3). Treatment and repair methods

1. when the circuit breaker is at the end, connect and weld securely from the head, wrap with proper insulation and dry by dipping in insulating varnish, then put on insulating sleeve for use.

2. Disconnection of the inner winder. This is not repairable and requires replacement of the coil of the winder.
