DC motor control methods and principles, many friends do not know very well, in order to figure out the control method, Vacuz to introduce you, I hope it can help you!
DC motor control methods.
1, armature voltage control, when the stator magnetic field is constant, by controlling the voltage signal applied to both ends of the armature winding, control the speed and output torque of the motor.
2, excitation field control, by changing the magnitude of the excitation current, change the stator magnetic field strength, so as to control the speed and output torque of the motor.
When DC motor adopts armature voltage control method, the armature current can reach the rated value because the stator magnetic field remains unchanged, and the corresponding output torque can also reach the rated value, so this method is also called constant torque speed control method.
When DC motor adopts excitation magnetic field control method, the motor magnetic field is close to saturation under rated operating conditions, and the motor speed can only be changed by weakening the magnetic field. Since the armature current is not allowed to exceed the rated value, with the weakening of the magnetic field, the motor speed increases, but the output torque decreases and the output power remains unchanged, so this method is also called constant power speed regulation. At the end of the motor, the magnetic field is controlled by the current, which is the principle of the motor, but the DC servo is closed loop and the process has compensated positioning, so it is stronger than stepping.
DC motor servo motor has two kinds of input signals: analog and pulse.
Analog is the voltage, for example, the input voltage range is -10 ~ 10v, -10v corresponds to the motor reverse gear upper speed, 0v corresponds to no movement, 10v corresponds to the forward gear upper speed. The pulse signal is sent by the upper computer (MCU, plc, CNC, etc.) and the frequency of the sent pulse determines the speed of the motor.
There are three types of pulses: double pulse, quadrature pulse and speed plus direction. Whether DC or AC, servo motors are the same.
These are the common control methods and principles of DC motors, mastering these basics, we can use these two methods flexibly in production work to bring us convenience!
