Automatic wire winding machine is the equipment to wrap the wire-like object to the specific workpiece, generally used for copper wire wrapping. There are the following main concentration categories.

Fully active type

A machine type that emerged in response to the rising labor force and the high demand for product quality. Can be combined with electric motors, electric components, pneumatic components, transmission devices, sensors, control systems, etc. into a highly active equipment. Generally, it is able to actively line up, wrap the head, break the clip wire, twist the wire, and load and unload the material. Machines with a high enough degree of automation can satisfy the requirements of one employee to look after multiple machines at the same time.

Advantages: Operators can be directly employed without training, high production efficiency, uniform product quality, and long uninterrupted operation.

Disadvantages: the price is higher than semi-active equipment, the need for a long period of operation to recover costs and benefits, the need for specially equipped technicians to ensure the operation of the equipment, the repair of faults is more cumbersome, it is difficult to replace product varieties.

Semi-active type

Previously used in China Z is widely used winding machine, only able to complete the active line, the rest of all operations need to be completed by the operator. Generally the number of axes is small to match the operator’s operating time and facilitate the replacement of different molds to produce different products.

Positive four-axis winding machine

Advantages: cheap, some mechanical processes can not be completed by manual completion, equipment deviations can be adjusted by the operator to compensate for the convenience of product replacement.

Disadvantages: more labor is required, the staff needs to be trained, and the operator’s operating proficiency is limited.

Suitable for low-cost production, new product production, multi-variety and low-volume production.

According to the winding method can be divided into: flat winding machine, ring winding machine, flying fork winding machine, three-dimensional winding machine.

Flat winding machine

By the spindle rotation, with three-dimensional through the space to move the positioning, so that the wire in a workpiece in the outer layer of the spiral line placed in the winding machine. It is generally used for processing most transformers, inductors and various types of coils. It is the most widely used winding machine at present.

Ring type

The spindle (wire storage wheel) rotates and the auxiliary wheel moves to place the wire in a spiral loop on a hollow round, hollow square or other similar workpiece. Generally used for processing ring type coils.

Flying fork type

A winding machine in which the side motor drives the flying fork to wind the wire. Generally used for winding coils and rotors with a cross-shaped exterior.

Three-dimensional type

This winding machine is used for special winding of special products. Generally used for stator and special product winding.
