(1) advantages: no carbon brushes, so low noise, maintenance-free, low failure rate, long life, high-speed regulation accuracy, stable running time and voltage, low interference with radio equipment.
(2) Disadvantages: the cost is relatively high, and the design can be a bit complicated.
